In collaboration with Tokushima Prefecture, the Center for Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning, Tokushima University, has been offering a recurrent education program called the "Tokushima Healthy Lifespan Body College" since 2019 as an effort to help extend the "healthy lifespan."
This year, 10 students have enrolled, and the opening ceremony was held on May 13th, 2025, with lectures in the college's specialized courses beginning on the same day.
The college's specialized courses include lectures and practical training on adult learning guidance, local human resource development, exercise guidance and health guidance, and provide a program that combines the acquisition and practice of knowledge in various fields related to healthy life expectancy, such as medicine, nutrition, and exercise, with human resource development. In addition, the trained personnel will play an active role as instructors in the program and in local governments, building a system that can improve the health of the community.
In addition, those who complete the course will be awarded the title of "Healthy Life Expectancy Partners" by the President of Tokushima University and the Governor of Tokushima Prefecture, and those who pass the qualification exam will be certified as "Tokushima Healthy Life Expectancy Masters" by the President of Tokushima University.
